# Google Calendar

> Each person connects their own Google Calendar. What permissions we ask for, how to check the status, and how to disconnect.

With Google Calendar connected, Ash books only where there's an opening, and appointments show up in each person's calendar.

## Who connects

Each person connects **their own** calendar. The owner's calendar isn't special: Ash books with whoever has the opening.

## Connect a calendar

You have three ways:

* **Home → Get started → Connect your calendar**.
* **Integrations →** the **Google Calendar** card **→** **+**.
* **Team →** the **Calendar** column **→** **Connect calendar**, in your row.

Pick the Google account for your work calendar, accept the permissions, and you'll see **Calendar connected**.

## What permissions we ask for

Google asks your permission to **see your calendar**, **see and edit its events**, and know your **email**. Ash reads your busy hours and creates and updates the appointments it books. It never deletes your events.

## Check the status

In **Team**, the **Calendar** column shows:

| Status | What it means | What to do |
| - | - | - |
| **Connect calendar** | It's not connected. | Connect it. |
| **Connected** | Ash books in it. | Nothing. |
| **Reconnect** | Google cut off access, for example if you changed your password. | Tap it and give permissions again. |

To disconnect, tap **Connected** in the person's row and confirm **Disconnect**.
