# How Ash works

> The two agents, what Ash knows about your business, and what happens with each conversation.

Ash has two agents that share the same things: what you teach it in **Context** and the rules you give it.

## Ash for your customers

It answers anyone who messages you on WhatsApp or calls your Ash number.

| Ash… | Using |

| Answers questions | What's in **Context** |
| Asks your business's questions | **Settings → Questions** |
| Gives quotes | Your prices, in **Context** |
| Books appointments | Each person's Google Calendar and your **Business hours** |
| Sends files | **Settings → Business → Company files** |
| Hands the conversation to a person | Your **Rules** and what it doesn't know |

## Ash for you

You and your team can talk to Ash too: from the **Ash** button at the top right of the dashboard, or on WhatsApp if your phone is saved in **Team**. [See →](/en/ash/ash-para-ti.md)

## What happens with each conversation

1. **A customer reaches out.** On WhatsApp or by phone. It shows up in **Conversations**.
2. **Ash takes care of it.** It asks, answers, and quotes.
3. **It ends in one of these ways:**
   * **Appointment.** Ash books an open time slot.
   * **Escalation.** Ash hands the conversation to someone on your team.
   * **Payment.** The customer sends their receipt and you confirm it.
4. **It moves through your Pipeline.** Each customer goes through stages like *First contact*, *Interested*, or *Paid*.
