# Try Ash

> Talk to Ash as if you were a customer, by chat or with a test call, before it answers real customers.

In **Test it** you talk to Ash before your customers do. Tests don't count as conversations and don't create customers.

## Start a test

**1. Open Test it**

Go to **Context** and pick the **Test it** tab.

**2. Message it or call it**

Write to it the way a customer would, or open a **Test call** to talk to it from your browser. You don't need a phone.

**3. Check the answer**

See whether it used your prices and followed your rules.

## What to test

| Pretend to be a customer who… | Check that Ash… |
| - | - |
| Asks for a price | Uses your price list, not a made-up price. |
| Asks something you didn't teach it | Says a person will confirm. |
| Wants to book | Offers only open time slots. |
| Asks to talk to someone | Hands the conversation to your team. |
| Asks for your location or your hours | Answers with what's in **Your company**. |

If you didn't like an answer, fix the info in **Context** or add a rule in **Settings → Ash → Rules**, then ask again.
