# What Ash does on a call

> How Ash answers the phone, what happens when a person is needed, and how to make a test call.

Ash answers 24 hours a day. It uses the same things as on WhatsApp: your **Context**, your **Questions**, and your **Rules**.

## On every call

* It greets the caller with your business name and asks how it can help.
* It answers with what's in **Context** and asks your **Questions**.
* It books into your team's open time slots.
* If a person is needed, it hands the conversation to your team or books a callback.

Ash doesn't transfer live calls: no one on your team takes the call while it's happening. There's also no voicemail, because Ash always answers.

Every call is saved in **Conversations** with its **Summary** and **Transcript**. For now, you can't listen to the audio from the dashboard.

## Make a test call

There are two ways:

* **Without a phone:** in **Context → Test it**, open a **Test call** and talk to Ash from your browser. It doesn't count as a conversation. [See →](/en/lanza/pruebalo.md)
* **With your cell phone:** call your Ash number. It's a real call: it shows up in **Conversations** like any other.

## Common problems

> **It's been more than two days and my number isn't active**
>
> Message us on WhatsApp from **Settings → Support**.

> **Ash answers but doesn't know a fact**
>
> Add the fact in **Context** and call again.
