Meta watches how people react to your messages. If they block or report you, your number’s quality drops and Meta limits you. Three things prevent that.

1. Only message people who gave you permission

  • If someone messages you, you can reply for 24 hours.
  • Only message first the people who gave you their number so you’d contact them.
  • If a customer asks you to stop messaging them, respect it: turn off Agent replies in their conversation and don’t send them templates.
Ash doesn’t detect on its own when someone asks you to stop messaging them. If you see a “stop messaging me,” pause Ash in that conversation.

2. Understand how Meta rates you

  • Meta gives your number a quality rating: high, medium, or low.
  • Meta also limits how many people you can message first each day. New numbers start with a low limit that goes up as you use it.
  • Replying to a customer who messaged you doesn’t count toward that limit.
Ash doesn’t show the quality rating or the limit in the dashboard. Check them in your Meta account or in Meta’s documentation. If a message isn’t delivered, you’ll see it marked in the chat with the reason Meta gave. Ash doesn’t retry it on its own.

3. Verify your business as you grow

Business verification confirms to Meta that your company exists and, over time, lets you message more people per day. It’s done in Meta, not in Ash.
  1. Go to business.facebook.com and open your portfolio settings.
  2. Look for Security Center and follow the steps. Meta’s guide
  3. Have your business’s legal name, an official document, and a website or email on your domain ready.
